Festivals in Thai Binh province

According to recapitulations of the Thai Binh Department of Culture and Information, there are 450 annual festivals, 92 of which have unique rites in Thai Binh.

Tourism potential of the ancient land of Hung Ha

Hung Ha district has an area of more than 200 km2. It is located in the north of Thai Binh province with population of more than 250 thousand people, who are living in 35 communes and town. Its 3 major surrounding rivers being the Red River, Luoc River and Tra River have created a fertile land with flat and large fields without restraint, making rural villages of Hung Ha become as beautiful as a painting.

Bach Thuan Garden Village

Bach Thuan Village is located in Vu Thu district, 10 km far from Thai Binh City in the direction from Tan De Bridge to Nam Dinh. This is a well-off garden village with the edge of the village being the alluvial beach for sericulture. In the village, there are orchards and ornamental trees.

Dong Xam silver carving village

The village is located in Hong Thai Commune, the north of Kien Xuong District. This is a trade village of metal carving.

Introduction to the National Historical and Cultural Site of Tuong Communal house - Temple - Wharf (in A Sao Village – An Thai commune – Quynh Phu district – Thai Binh province)

A Sao in Tran dynasty was the center of A Cao Village, which was located beside Hoa river, is now Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province. It was the fiefdom of An Sinh King - Tran Lieu who was the father of the Great King Hung Dao.

Prehistoric sites

The archaeological remains include the bronze arrows found in the riparian area of Luoc river of Hung Ha district, brass artifacts found in Quynh Xa commune, Quynh Phu district. In addition, the pointed blades and spear blades were found in many parts of the province. Although those are not many, Thai Binh can be classified to be in the distribution range of Dong Son culture.

Historic sites of Nguyen dynasty

The remaining historical sites in Thai Binh have been built or restored the most under Nguyen dynasty, the last feudal dynasty in Vietnam.

Historic sites of Ly dynasty

The founding of Ly dynasty (1010 – 1225) opened a new page in the history of the country. That was Ly dynasty of the independent feudal state, ending a tough and resilient fight of our people after thousand years of Chinese domination.

In Thai Binh, there are many historical sites of revolution which marks the epic revolutionary period of the nation. The party cells and the revolutionary soldiers always chose the historic sites (communal houses, pagodas, shrines and worship halls) as places to hide away and organize their operations.

In the academic history of the Vietnamese feudal dynasties, according to incomplete statistical data, Thai Binh had 111 people with a doctor degree (see also Education Chapter).

Artistic architectural monuments

Among 2176 existing historical sites in Thai Binh, nearly 18% are artistic architectural monuments, of which about 20% are artistic architectural monuments of Le dynasty, the rest are the monuments of Nguyen Dynasty... Historical relics of Hai Ba Trung uprising

Although Hai Ba Trung uprising, in the early years of AD (40 - 43), did not start from Thai Binh (the home of the two women was not Thai Binh), the historical relics reflecting the uprising in Thai Binh has many generals from Thai Binh who joined the uprising.

Tien La Temple

Tien La Temple is a place of worshiping Bat Nan General (the general who combated the disaster for the people - a female general of Hai Ba Trung). It is located at Tien La village - Doan Hung commune - Hung Ha district - Thai Binh province.

Keo Pagoda

Keo Pagoda is located in Duy Nhat commune, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province. The main festival of Keo Pagoda takes place from the 13th to 15th September of the lunar year.

Dong Chau Beach

Dong Chau Beach locates in Dong Minh Commune, Tien Hai district, is 30 kilometers far from Thai Binh City by the National Highway 39B.
